INVESTMENT

I am an all inclusive lifestyle family photographer in the Kansas City area.

This simply means you pay one price for the session and all the best images, chosen by me, that best represent your family and my artistic style.

All family sessions are $425.

  • Why are you an all-inclusive photographer?
Truth is... I didn't used to be. In the past, my pricing structure was set up to include a session fee and then an additional fee to purchase a specific number of images. But after a while, it just didn't feel like I was being true to myself as an artist. You can love an image of your child looking at the camera and smiling, but you can also love a candid image that perfectly captures your child's personality. And you shouldn't have to choose between those images, because each has a place and can be loved for different reasons. I love to capture images full of authentic emotion and the small little details that tell your family's story. And I never want you to have to choose between those moments.
  • What does a family session include?
Up to 1.5 hours at a location of your choice (Up to 8 individuals*) Family Portrait Session Guide 40-50+ fully edited digital files Full print release $25 credit toward print products *Please contact me for extended family session rates
  • How will I receive my images?
The images will be provided as high resolution downloads via a password protected online gallery. You will receive your gallery within 14 days of your session.
  • Can I purchase prints?
ABSOLUTELY! Please print your images! You will receive a print release when your gallery is delivered along with recommendations for places to print. For highest quality, professional prints, you may order directly through your online gallery.
  • How would you describe your style?
I am passionate about family photography, and because so, I believe the connections between your family and the most honest versions of yourselves is so important. I love authentic images that are filled with emotion. I seek out genuine moments that make me FEEL something. Most photos are lightly posed, meaning I'll help get you into place first and then encourage interaction and real expressions while I'm snapping away. My work is most often categorized as lifestyle photography.
  • What should we wear?
I've put together a complete session preparation guide for my clients that I send before their session. It includes information about clothes, hair/makeup and other useful tips to help eliminate stress from your experience.
  • Is all-inclusive right for me?
A family portrait session is an investment and depending on what you want from that session, should help you choose the right photographer for you. If you only want posed, smile-at-the-camera pictures and only need a couple images for a holiday card or just a yearly picture, then you may want to consider a photographer who offers a pricing structure more in line with your wants. If you want the session to be more of an experience and (hopefully fun) outing where you move and play with your kids and want images that capture your family where you are at this moment in your life, then an all-inclusive session would be a perfect fit.
  • What will my session be like?
I want your session with me to be an experience, a fun and memorable experience. I want to document your family as you are, right now. And I want to spend enough time with your family that I can tell your story. This is ALL about your family, your genuine connection and your love for each other. I promise to make it easy for the whole family! Yes, even Dad's, who let's be honest, are not always thrilled about family picture day. Try not to stress! The drive to the session might feel crazy and hectic, but once you arrive and we get started, it will all be fine! No matter your children's ages, I have tricks up my sleeve for all stages. If you see your child doing a "fake smile" don't worry! I know what a real smile looks like, so even if I'm snapping away, I'm just trying to loosen them up. I will do everything I can to make sure you get a gallery of images that are authentic and honest. Because I want to convey honest connection in your images, most of our time will be spent relaxing, snuggling, playing. I always make sure to get that one 'everyone looking at the camera smiling' shot that Grandma loves, but for the most part, you will be looking at your children. Hugging them. Tickling them. Spending time with them. And I'll probably make you kiss your husband a time or two.
  • How far out are you booked?
Because I am a busy mom of three and a wife to a schedule-crazy surgical resident, I only book sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings. If there are special circumstances and you cannot make the weekend work, don't worry! I am flexible and want to photograph your family! Get in touch and we will schedule something that works for you. In the fall and winter months, I book up fast and about two to three months in advance. In the spring and summer, I have more availability and am usually booked 2-3 weeks out.
  • Okay I'm ready to book, what next?"
I can't wait to work with you! Please send me a message here, and we'll come up with a game plan for your session. After that, you will be able to sign your contract and submit your session deposit online. $150 is due upon booking to reserve your session date, and the remainder is due on the day of your session. I also ask new clients to fill out a short questionnaire, which helps me get to know you and your family, as well as your hopes and goals for your session. Talk to you soon!
